I have a longbow..Ebon Longbow of Marksmanship(15% chance) 15-28. and I love the bow...but ever since I got tigers fury i've been using my Fiery Halfmoon of Marksmanship and my Icy Halfmoon of Marksmanship...tigerys fury + longbow = useless.
im mainly a trapper ranger...so i am generally pretty close to combat anyway. The halfmoon fires quicker has less arch..and is harder to evade than the longbow. |

well when i'm in pvp as anything but a trapper, i usually have my flatbow for that first opening shot (go go 100' range ) and then switch to my sunder ascalon bow of fortitude for closer battles.
a shortbow should be your main weapon if you're usually in close with the targets. a long range one for pulling and annoyance |

in PvE, longbows are better for pulling small mobs instead of aggroing a ton because of their range. most people keep a good shortbow on the switch.

My main weapon is a Zealous Shortbow. I also carry a Vampiric Shortbow for quick bursts of damage (or when under heavy energy denial), and a Longbow for pulling mobs.
Peace, -CxE
