Farming and elementists - Guild Wars Forums

You know after countless hours of searching forums for a good farming spot for ele's.... i came to a conclusion elementist can't farm.

So while warriors and mesmers etc... farm us elmentist find it extremmely difficult to farm.

Now of course we could take henchies but that makes are pickups crap.

So of course the question. Is there any elementist that have beat the system and figured a good farmign spot for an ele?

Look better.. some of the best farming build are Elem.. search for something like Amazing farming video...

E/Mo can farm so easily, I know two builds one using Smithing and Healing the other Smithing and Protection... did good as E/Me using the build called Walking bomb (look at the Builds Compendium)...

there was another build doin ettins as a e/r. it was fire/water based. i remember inferno, phoenix and a few other ranger run skills. mist form was a big one since it prevents any physical damage for a small period of time.

good if ur secondary is monk but if u secondary is mesmer it is noyt easy!!There really is no way!

As I said.. look at the Walking bomb build...

You can easily solo with this build (I did it).. otherwise wait until the desert and change profession.. go monk.. and return Me when you want it !

for an ele/me you think mantra of resolve is worth stickin on the skill bar for the rather long time it prevents interrupt? (thinking as an earth ele.. can string together earthquake/aftershock/crystal wave/obsidian flame.. keep a ward against melee/mantra of resolve/channeling on since you have to be nearby the enemies for most of those spells to work.

i don't have most of those skills as of yet, trying to ascend in the evening between work and bed

just planning ahead

not true, my guildmate is E/N or something like that and he can farm all day long with me! just use fire storm on a huge group (say Mergoyle) and it kill faster than my W/E's melee attack!

yeah E/Me is one of the easiest solo farmers and can farm the largest # of mobs at once. I typically solo the 12+ trolls in the troll cave all in one big blaze of glory. If I had a way to make a video (don't wanna pay $40 for fraps), I'd make a video of it.

fire: 16, water: 11, Energy Storage: 11 (or 10?), Inspiration: 2 (possibly 3?)

lava font
flame burst
inferno
firestorm
arcane echo
mistform
fire attunement
mantra of resolve (for trolls or other interrupters) or armor of mist (for speed boost in running to your farm location)

absolutely smashes melee mobs of any size. Gets crushed by disenchanters though. Doesn't do well against 3+ giants due to knockdowns either.

See i'm SURE it's hard when you're in my situation. I have no superior vigor like the guy in that video and barely any health bonus. I'm E/R20 :-(

I am an E/Mo (mainly fire) and farm all the time and it is actually very simple. Find a mob that tries to Melee you (casters can be alot tougher since they are all spread out). Preferably one that doesnt inturupt you. I only need two skills. Meteor Shower and Phenoix.
Pull the mob too you and back up just a little bit so they are all mobs are standing next to each other instead of surrounding you. Cast Meteor Shower first, that keeps knocking them down, and when they are on the ground they cant hit you. Then use Pheonix, if the mobs are right next to you then it hits them twice. I do have mending up so I get some healing going on during this, but I normally have alot of life left over when done so not sure how much it is actually needed.

BS. My build works fine with only about 350 health. You don't even need the Mesmer skills really. It is perfectly possible to do with just the E skills I posted. Add in Troll Unguent for good measure to keep your health up at the end of the fight.
