How do I Leave a Group?
I'm embarrassed to ask such a dumb question, but last night I was grouped with another newbie and neither one of us could figure out how to disband from the group. I couldn't figure out how to pull up the "leave" bar.
I'm sure it's something quite simple... and I feel like a real dolt, frankly... but neither of us could figure it out, and the idea of being stuck in a group crying for release until an experienced member takes pity on me is quite unappealing. |

If you arent in a town just warp back to a city or logout and relogin. If you are in a city, there is a Leave button under the Group listing with all your names.

Travel Map -> Warp to the closest town you want to
or Logout / Exit GW then re-log in. Most people feel this is rude if you do it in a middle of a mission / or a quest group without good reason. |

Ooooh, that was the problem. We were both in an instanced area, saying goodbye, and neither of us could, well, leave. Made for an awkward, foot shuffling moment!
If a PUG is in a mission, and I simply must leave for some emergency, I certainly can't warp back to town via the map, can I? I mean, if I do that won't I drag the entire team with me?? Boy, that would surely raise some hackles... So in an emergency, simply logging out would remove me without affecting the rest of the group? If so, that's nice to know! Thank you for the replies. |

Aha! Wow, thank you. That's good to know. As an EverQuest veteran, I'm aware that there really ARE time when one must occasionally make the quick exit for sanity sake. Usually when the words 'lik im da bomb, n00b' filters over team chat, and my heart sinks to my toes.

The only way to leave a group while you do mission or quests with other, is to wrap to different towns.
