Ele/Me or W/Mo
Im getting the game today and i have been researching it heavily. And so far (from what i have read) Ele/Me is the char for me. But i also like the W/Mo combo. I have played MMORPG's befor like Conquer Online and Maple Story and i know hwta my plying style is (do lots of DMg and be uber :P) But it seems to me that there is no uber class combo in this game. So if you could give me the pros and cons of Ele/Me and W/Mo.

A good thing about this game is that no one class owns all.
It all depends on what you like to do. Ele/Me would be Damage and mana drain/interrupts, and W/Mo is tanking or farming. |

Ele/Me. Why? Because you can't walk five steps without running into a W/Mo

El/Me is a good combo to regen some energy plus remove hexes on yourself.
w/mo used by 90% of the the warriors even if other combos would offer a better twist for more damage. Last edited by rotor; Jul 10, 2005 at 03:57 PM // 15:57.. |

K seems to me that W/Mo is hated cause evryone has a W/Mo... and Ele/Me is also a good class but it does not to that good of dmg... Is there a class combo that does more dmg over the other combos...?

just a quick heads up: don't agree to the Monk secondary (or Mesmer) as soon as you finish the quest. Try all the different 2nds and at least get the xp (and loot) from them. You may not enjoy playing those other classes, but you'll have a good idea about their capabilities and what's necessary to shut them down later in the game.

Warbringer may hate W/Mo now. But the second he/she is in the Arena or GvG he/she loves them.

I'll never understand all the W/Mo hate.
W/Mo is popular for a reason. With the exception of Earth W/E's no other combination can survive and thus tank as effectively. Sure they may be able to do extra damage and stuff if they had another secondary, but most people just want their Warrior to tank, and they will get angry if you die easily. |

I never said I hated them.. My first character was one. There are just too many of them, and we don't need more. This game has enough w/mo's for the rest of the games life |

I havnt tried it yet but i think E/Me would be a good combo because you could use lots of skills from inspiration such as Ether Lord, Energy Tap and Channeling to maintain lots of energy so you can then constantly bombard your enemies.

the bottom line is, (though yesterday, i was in the same position as you) its completely your choice what class you take. Sure there is benefits to certain classes, some more then others, but depending on how you look at it, every class has its advantages and disadvantages. It was mentioned before that no class rules over the others. Theres no better way of putting it. Its ur choice, theres really not a bad 1.

played e/me throughout, damage has been nothing short of terrific if I'm still breathing I'm doing more damage usually than anyone else in my party. necro sounds like a decent idea too if you're trying to maximize. however the reality is you only have so many attribute points (200) and slots (8) so while your blowing up corpses and spent points in a necro line I might have just added echo (no attrib) and can either do a double chain lightning (pvp) or meteor storm (pve). its all what you want to do. yes both of those cause exhaustion, but it'd be very odd not to use energy storage/mitigates that |
