Types of Shields - Does It Matter?
I have a gold Armor 16 8Tact Tall Shield w/ a +28HP Mod (all the time)
I also have a Armor 16 8str magmas shield... I also have various other armor 16 shields with various mods, rec dmg -2, etc etc... My question is, do shield 'types' matter... IE, does a Tall shield work less effectively than say, an eternal shield? If so, in which scenarios are the different shields most effective. Thanks |

I don't believe that there is a difference between shields, besides the fact that some look cooler than others.

From what I understand, it's cosmetic and simply up to the player to discover what looks best from his/her perspective.

I'm shocked at the lack of concern or documentation concerning this topic. |

Maybe there isn't many graphics?
Anet adds new graphics in updates every so while. I don't believe there be any difference in shields apart from looks. |

the different types of shields also have different requirements, so be sure to check your skill set allocation to strength or tactics. a lvl 9 tac req shield is no good if you have no points in tactics, and 9 in str.
