Crystalline Sword Drops? - Guild Wars Forums

After searching through the forums about crystalline swords and where they are dropped this is all ive gotten from it

People have seen a few drops in the Desert area where you ascend (no specific location) and Sanctum Cay at the very end where the Spirits Resting place is for the bonus.

Are there any other recent findings about crystalline swords and where people have seen the drop

please pm me if your unwilling to post, Ive played soo much and have yet to even see a crystalline drop

People don't want to share. Either they're greedy or the location will be nerfed.

I've seen a huge surge in the amount of max damage/gold crystalline swordsfor sale, so there must be secret spot where people are getting them so easily.

I got a gold crystalline sword from a chest on the way to kill Galrath. It wasn't max damage, but it was still pretty good.

WHAT ... THE ... HELL ?

Why would an area be nerfed for dropping an item? Unless drops there were majorly common in comparision to other areas - sounds like a big pile of gay to me.

I've seen em drop in UW, as well as in the chest in the HoH (sadly, never for me)

it would be nerfed once everyone started farming it, thats what he meant

Believe it or not, a Crystalline Sword dropped for me when I was still in Pre-Searing. Granted, it was only 4-6 damage, but it looked awesome and served me well until I found a better sword after the Searing. Of course, I had no idea how uncommon these things were at the time... else I would have kept it simply for the novelty.

Then much later on, I obtained a rare max damage Crystalline Sword from that barrel outside Divinity Coast as I was passing by. I was quite shocked to see an item of such calibre pop out of a barrel in that area... but hey, I guess you never know when you might get lucky.
