Give up with the N/Me they are one of the weakest PvE characters. Just quit.

I'm going to try a N/Me. I think they sound like a great class. There is no worst or best class. Theres just good and bad players.

I got a lvl 14 N/Me. Quite ok. Both solo and group doing well. I suck both mp and hp, animate bone horrors(good tanks), putrid explosion(good dmg). Mantra Flame/Frost rock too.

my main is a N/Me, and (when i actually pay attention and try playing while fully awake, not over-tired and half asleep :P ) I find her quite effective. She specializes in Curses, Illusion and Domination magic. She began her adventures by first cursing and hexing and bleeding her enemies to death, then raising them as undead minions, but the minion animation took too much time and effort to keep herself surrounded by an undead army at all times. (plus, more or less helpless while fighting things that cannot later be raised as undead...such as rocks and ice..things!) So she got rid of the minions, and focused on the diabolical side which allows her to crowd-control, hex, curse, dominate, crack some whips, debuff, disable, send plagues, and watch the mobs kill themselves for her.
in PvP i've heard rumours that a combination of Necromancer and Mesmer can release a virtual plague and spread disease through the ranks of the enemies... but, I don't really PvP, though may check it out eventually. P.S. Mesmer/anything, or anything/Mesmer, is more or less guaranteed to be uber, imho. with the right skills, and attention span of course. |

Ive taken N/Me main up to the forge and found it to be very fun on the way. You will find that you will be changing your skill allocation very often to be the best you can be. It all depends on what you are fighting at the time. You will find that you can do a significant amount of carnage no matter the situation.
I started to go into all the skills and highlight what is great, but its just useless, it would take forever. N/Me has great versatility and you will never run out of mana with ~10 in soul reaping. BTW when you are doing the asencion mission, backfire chaos storm and energy burn will make you very useful for dealing with the mages of the area. |
