-Take a screenshot (printscreen, or whatever you have it bound to).
-Find the image, and open it up in an image editing program (photoshop, paintshop pro, or gimp if you're poor). -Crop it so you have just the part of the screenshot you want. (Usually use the crop tool to select the part you want and then hit enter) -Save -Upload and post |

make sure you save the image as a jpeg or else it will be too big for any site to host it
my quest is how do i insert the SS on the forum it self so you see the pics when you come in instead of having to click on the image i attached? |

Lemmy: Save as a jpeg or gif so the file size isn't too big. I'd recommend a gif if it's just the hover text of an item and is small. |

If you are running XP, MS paint will do fine to crop the screenie and save it as a *.jpg. Simply start paint, then open the file under "file", then "save as" *.jpg
You cannot link files directly from your machine to the boards. First you have to upload your *.jpg image to your personal webspace, which many ISP provides give you free of charge, or you can use a free hosting site, like photobucket. After you have uploaded your file to an FTP server, simply insert the complete URL between image tags, like so: http://xxxxx (replace <> for []) I hope that helps |

I still don't understand how to get my pics or at least the jpeg links attached to my posting? I have managed to upload my jpegs onto the GWG and they are right there below the message I'm trying to post and I have no idea how to get them in my message. If anyone even tries to help me please speak slowly and use small words because I must be an idiot. Thanks on behalf of all the computer illiterate souls out here.
