Armor infusions
I have gotten my healer monk up to the Iron Mines of Molandune and was reading about the mission. In the mission I am preparing to face for the first time head on the Mursaat, which are pretty bad dudes, or so I have been told.
As part of the mission I am to see the seer, this may only be the bonus part of the mission, and to have my armor infused by the Eidolon. I am not sure who the Eidolon are but read that they may infuse my armor up to 5 times. It also states that this infusion will help bulk up my armor but that none of the infusions will be as effective as the previous one. And is says that the infusion will carry over to new armor. My questions are the following: Is it worth it to do the bonus in order to get this armor infusion? Does the armor infusion carry over from the mission/bonus onto the armor for the rest of the game? Is it a safer bet to get the armor infusion only the first time and not even bother with the bonus if the infusion will carry over and will be not as effective with subsequent infusion/infusions? Should I try & get the best armor I can for this infusion or will it really carry over to any new armor I get and enhance it for the rest of the game? I have never seen this subject here before and want to get this right the first time so I don't screw anything up. Thanks. |

you'll see a lot of people spamming for infusion runs. the bonus is to kill the eidolon and have your armor infused. the damage you take from the mursaat is greatly reduced if you get your armor infused.
1.so yes, its worth it to get your armor infused. 2.if you change armor again, you'll need to infuse your new armor again... unless this has changed, i'm not aware of it. 3.its easy to get the first time and its along the mission path for the most part. 4.droknar's armor is sufficient enough to get infused. |

it was my understanding that it didn't carry over. and also i'm not sure if you need ALL your pieces of armor infused to get the 'protection' infused provides

"Changed the way armor infusion quests work. The seer now infuses all of your currently worn pieces of armor, but the infusion effect is slightly reduced in power in order to preserve the intended challenge of the following missions."
(Update ??? Wednesday, June 8) Before that update you had to indeed do mulitiple 'infusion runs' (up to 5, or more..) Regarding the 'reduced power', Spectral Agony against infused armor used to do -3 (IIRC), now it does -9. The seer + killing the Eidolon is not the bonus on Iron Mines of Moladune. The bonus is talking to Blade Scout Ryder and kill 'The Inquisitor' (Mursaat boss). |

It won't carry over. However, it's not a major pain in the ass to redo it, since the mission up to the infusion isn't that difficult. If you really don't want to redo Iron Mines, you can find another infuser in Mineral Springs - which is a neat and cool diversion to take on when you're fed up with running missions! |

Yes, there are other pairs of Seers/Eidolons around (Mineral Springs, Ring of Fire, Abaddon's Mouth are the ones I've used to infused armor).

Newb question
Does infusion make your armor stronger just for the mission or for the entire time you wear the armor? If for the entire time you have it, what does it give you? Are there stats?

My party yelled at me when I carried the Spectral essence everywhere during Abaddon's Mouth.. I was bored though. In a group with 3 monks, I wasn't very essential. But I did manage to run back and take all the swag they left behind!
EDIT: Infusion only makes you immune to the Mursaat skill, Spectral Agony, to an extent anyways. My previous guild refused to let anyone GvG until they were infused, believing it to make your armour stronger against other players. I've yet to come across a character using Spectral Agony. |

I may have gotten my armor infused in the Iron Mines but the Mursaat still kick my butt @ Thunderhead Keep. Is it possible that among my party for the Mines I didn't get infused?

Go to your inventory screen and put your pointer over each piece of armor you are wearing. It should say 'Infused'. If it doesn't, you're going to be dropping pretty quickly.
It's easy to see who is not Infused the first time you run across Mursaat when you are playing a Monk. It's the dude who dies before you can get a 3/4 second heal spell off. |

Well, the infusing of your armor is supposed to protect you
better against mursaat. Now i once got my platemail armor infused then finish the game with the same armor. Then I changed my armor for the Dragon armor and still to this point am to lazy to go and get it infuzed. Anyways, I recently fought some mursaat to help some guild mates with their missions and I haven't notice much of a diference although i'm no longer infused. |
