Factor or Favor? If its favor its gained by winning battles in the Hall of Heroes. When a country has favor, that server can reach the Underworld and Fissure of Woe. Which contains really good drops and hard monsters.

Probably Faction.

Faction is accumulated by winning in PvP. You can use it to unlock items/skills for PvP play.

but when you go to a npc, wich is called baltharaz gaurds/spirits (cant remember) you can unlock items, if you have 2k, but there is a rule of how to unlock items, wich i dont understand... (for example i need a 10/10 sundering bow string, how will i get that? can i just unlock it and get it straight away, or do i need to have a 10/somthing before doing it?

As far as I know you just have to find the item of that type. Im not to keen when it comes to items for pvp and what not. I barely play and when I do I use my PvE characters.

if you haven't already unlocked some form of sundering string, say a 10/5 via PvE, then you will need to unlock the minimum string first. Now, given that you have 2000 faction, you can unlock both the minimum string and then the maximum string (10/10) as each is 1000 faction. If you already have a low end upgrade unlocked you can simply jump to the maximum.
