Elementalist Armor
Im relatively new to the Guild Wars world, and I was wondering about armor. I have several sets of Charr armor, but I can't wear it. I was wondering if there was any affordable Elementalist armor I can buy that would be worthwhile. I only have 1.7K. Also, has anyone seen a cheap firewand? Im looking hard for 1, but never seem to find one. Whats Max dmg, and max protection for Armor and Elementalist weapons. Thank you guys.

1) You can't wear the armor you find on monster, they are meant to be salvaged to get the crafting material or the rune if there is one.
2) To know price and location of armor go here http://www.gwonline.net/page.php?p=75 3) Cheap firewand, well im sure you can get a normal one for cheap. 4) Max damage is 11-22 for the wand, but you have to met the requirement to be able to do full damage else it will only do 2-4 damage. 5) Max Armor for Elementalist is 60 Armor level, and you can get a +15 bonus AL to an element, on all the part of your armor but the head. ( Air, earth, fire, Water ) So you can have all of them on 4 different part of your armor, but that might not be the wisest choise tho ) |

Also, Just wondering, are wands or staffs generally better? Flame artifacts worth it?
Thanks |

I'm not 100% sure about this but I think wands are one handed items and staff's are two handed items meaning if you have a wand you can equip an artifact (or shield etc) in the other hand to get the benefits of that item. I think also that staff's usually have more attributes (like +10 energy etc) than wands. Seems to be a trade off. So for example you could have a 10-21 dmg wand with a +10 energy artifact or a 10-22 dmg staff that has a +10 energy benefit.

Wands don't have the upgrades either, staves do (wrappings and heads). So in the long run you will probably find a staff can outdo a wand/artifact combo.

I got a Purple 11-20 Insightful Fire Staff you can have. it's not max dmg or anything but it's close. and It's got a +10 Energy Modifier and a +17 HP Modifier.

Whether wands or staves are better depends entirely on what gear you have. Staves have better stats and can have upgrades, but wands let you use artifacts with them. Basically, take your best wand+artifact combo and compare it to your best upgraded staff.

Quickly back to elementalist armor... the yellow/silver dye blend works really really well on the Droknar's ele armor. Very rich looking.
