Umm...where did Black Dye go?
I don't see it at Dye Traders anymore? I only looked at three different ones, but was kind of wondering why it would up and disappear.
I'll check again when I log back in today...but was it gone for anyone else? |

If too many buy from the seller, it's out of stock.

I noticed it was gone as well. Out of stock, and the trade is only buying for 2k. I also noticed that the Runes have all jumped in price since friday. Major Vigor was 1.9k on friday and was 3.1k last night.

Silver went up to 2k yesterday. Nobody is going to sell to trader any more because it is so much more profitable to sell to other players... meaning the trader prices will continue to go up like crazy, which in turn means it's even more profitable to sell to other players. Prices are shooting up like crazy on all trader related stuff.

I've noticed that as well. I finally found a black dye and I was hoping I could sell it for a couple of platinum to the trader... He sold it for 9.6k .. "Ah, lovely!", I thought by myself.
When I requested the buy quote from the trader ... he was buying black dye for a whole 700 gold. Yeah right? Of course I won't sell it to the trader for that amount of money. The thing is... The trader sells the items for a large amount of money, but it doesn't buy it for a large amount of money. It doesn't even seem to be 10% of the sell price. That way, people will continue to buy items from the trader (because of it's availability) but won't sell it to the trader (because of the trader's buy price). They will sell it to other players instead. The trader will eventually run out of stock and it won't be replenished because players don't sell to the trader. |

WOW glad I sold my black dye when I did, I got 4.9k each from the merchants who were selling them at the time for 11k roughly each. I have found lots of minor runes to but only being quoted 25g for them... at that price I might as well give them away and charge for that warm fuzzy feeling someone gets when they run into someone nice lol.

I need black dye for my new armor. the last few days black dye has been around 9.5k which is insane! yesterday while i was checking prices i noticed they were out. then when i checked again a little while later they had black and i got a quote of 4.2k to buy it...natually i bought it instantly. then it immediatly was out of stock again. i stood there for almost 20 minutes clicking on the trader and she never got another in stock...after the last patch where they killed the trading things are all screwed up now, and I dont see it changing in the future. Last week i was able to sell ecto for 8.5k to the trader now they give me 1.4k just makes me have to sit in trade and spam untill i find someone who wants it now.
seems that everything will be bought or sold thru the trade channel now. no one in their right mind would pay or take the prices the traders are giving. I think its only going to get worse. unfourtunatly |

They should make it so that that trader is like a real dealer. You sell them product, then they mark it up ~20% and sell it. That way they stay in business and we get to trade with the trader for a reasonable price instead of having to sift through all these WTS/WTB crap wasting our time! This would solve everything, and still allow people to sell their own stuff for a small profit if they wanted.
I wanted a MMORG not Monolopy. I feel like there should be a ticker at the top of my screen so that I can see what Charr hides are currently trading at. Last edited by ChoKILLate[FDG]; Jul 20, 2005 at 05:25 PM // 17:25.. |
