You infuse your armor to reduce the damage done to you by an attack called Spectral Agony. This attack is done by mursaat and their minions the jade armors and bows.

In the Iron Mines of Moldune quest, you'll find the Seer who wants you to kill the Eidolon and collect some of it's spectral essence. Take the essence back the the Seer and it will infuse your armor.
Personally I think infusion should be character, not armor based, but it's not, so, each time you change your armor you'll have to do it again. |

Yep and it's a very important step since the Mursaat will "instagib" you (to borrow from Unreal Tournament) if your armor isn't infused. And, as Dargon said: If you buy even a single piece of new armor, you're going to need to find an ancient seer to 're' infuse the new piece.

I do believe the Iron Mines mission is where you do the infusion. You'll see people spamming "Fully Infused" or "LFG for infusion run", so that is a dead giveaway.

The Iron Mines mission is indeed the one that provides infusion.
Take people you trust with you on that mission, if you can. I originally went with a pickup group, and found myself having to do the mission again because the item required for the infusion was stolen from the group (the person intentionally logged off with the item, making it unavailable to all players). Also, as a small hint, if you see a mursaat on that mission, you're going the wrong way. Try to take another path. |

I thought this seperate "infusion" was fixed in the latest patch.
So now, you dont have to infuse new sets anymore??? is that not the case? |

You still have to infuse new armors you buy. It's just that each infusion run infuses all 5 pieces of armor you are wearing, not just one like it used to be.

The quest is actually received in Droknars forge after ascending and getting thru Dragon's area. It's the "Seer" quest in which you talk to a dwarve NPC just outside Droknar's in Talus Chute, then another just outside Ice Caves, do mission there and it take you to Iron Mines and that is where you journey to see the Seer for infusion (I think I have the steps correct).

All of these people are correct. It is in the Iron Mines of Moladune.
You would have found this out if you just play through though. |
