Do you get better loot if you solo a mission?
I usually max out on henchmen if I can't find people to party with. But I was wondering-I know gold is evenly distributed with your party, but what about loot?
Do I get less quality items if I have a bunch of henchmen with me as opposed to going it alone or with only 1 or 2 henchmen or is it completely related to quantity intead of quality? I've gotten a few purple items, but never saw a gold item. I'm in Beacon's Perch currently. Just curious... Bragg |

quantity and quality is all random.
But suppose you do the mission all by yourself, all the loot goes to you. |

I sometimes run santium clay to solo Hil Giants... I get tons of lot.

Basically what happens is when the game decides to drop loot it will randomly assign that loot to someone in the party. If your party consisted of you & 5 hencjies, then you have a 1 in 5 chance that the loot will be assigned to you and you'll see it. If it's assigned to henchies you will never see it. Basically the game treats the henchies the same way as if you were in a party with other players, except the items assigned to the henchies never get dropped onto the ground for all to see.
So you will get more loot if you can explore and/or do missions alone as then the only person being asigned loot is you! But as was said, this won't mean you get better loot, just more loot. The quality of the loot is still completetely and utterly random. |

I've been soloing for the first 16 levels and for the most part the loot hasn't been great. I ran into an old friend (who is 20) and we proceded to head for the temple of ages and I never saw so much good loot including the first gold item I had ever seen and one that gave up a major rune of vigor. So maybe there is hope for later as I level.

going back to the title, " Do you get better loot if you solo a mission?", not necessarily. You get more loot which increases you chances of getting purple or gold items but the drops are still random. You could do the same mission soloing it over and over again and might not even get a purple and what not.

I find that I get more gold if I go solo and more crafting materials, however I find that I get more "drops" (purple and blue, have yet to get a gold drop) if I team up with hencies or real folks. My completely subjective opinion
