monk Weapon, Calling all Healing Monks for Advise... - Guild Wars Forums

Does Anyone knows were I can get a One Handed Monk weapon that Req. healing or Divine Favor from a Collector ( a picture would be great) the only one I found is a two handed Smiting, that I use but I am making my Smiting Monk into a Healing Monk.

and need a One handed Weapon after finding a V.good Healing Ankh.

Can anyone give me some tips/advise of the best skills to use as a Healing Monk/Mesmer, All the Skill I find on this forums are either Old Posts or Guides they all relate to PvP and not really PvE and this Monk is going to be a PvE only.

I am trying to get as a Healing coz its betting harder to find Monks and Smiting are not takes serious when playing in a group of children.

I am Lv 19 and the Skills i am planning to use are.

Divine Spirit
Healing Breeze
Orison of Healing
Vigorous Spirit
Heal Party
Remove Hex
Channeling
Resurrect

Attributes

Divine Favor
Healing Prayers
Inspiration

I don???t have many Monk healing Skills yet but I am going after them.
What advise would you give in relation to my Skills what I need to replace or what I don???t need.

I just got to Droknar???s Forge and suffer like hell coz there was no monks in the desert and me as a Smiting had loads of invites until I told them I am not a Pure healer or protector Monk, and keep getting kickout of the Party.

There is a huge collectors post. It lists all of the collecters locations and Items. If you search for it you will find it...

You'll find the two best Healing Ankhs listed here:

Get them both. Use the 20%/20% one most of the time. In emergencies, use a Weapon Set to switch to the +15 energy/-1 energy regeneration one. It will give you an instant 15 energy, which may save the day.

As for a weapon, I don't know where to find a wand or staff with Healing Prayers as a requirement.

For your build, take Rebirth instead of Resurrect. It's far superior. I wouldn't take Heal Party, since it only gives you the Divine Favor bonus. Take Heal Other or Word of Healing. You'll really need a big heal in the later areas. I'd rather have Energy Drain or Offering of Blood than Channeling, but that's just me.

Thanks for the Tips maybe i should have posted i have them both of them now thats why i am looking for a one handed Rod.

I cant find a Healing Rod either only Divine Favor and the only one i found that gives energy as only max 13 of damage.

So i would like to know what do the Healing Monks take as there weapon?

I will take your advise on the Skills, unless someone else have another opinion but i will test them.

I use this:

It's not as good as a 20% chance to improve skill recharge, but it works for more than one tree. I got it off a drop, so don't try to find a collector that has it.

ok but my problem is the Smiting prayers but i dont want to put any point in there, but i can see the 10% skill recharge.

i have the Rod that u get from the collector in Droknar???s Forge, but i am not longer going to use the Smiting Skills

You don't have to put any points into Smiting Prayers in order to have the modifier work. If you don't have 8 Smiting Prayers, it just means you'll do less damage with an attack.

I know you're asking about your weapon, but it would seem that you have gotten a good enough answer from theclam.

Regarding your skillset:

-1 Divine Spirit
-1 Remove Hex
-1 Vigorous Spirit

+1 Divine Boon
+1 Word of Healing
+1 Dwaynas Kiss

vigorous spirit is actually useful as a prebuff if you have alot of warriors, set it and forget it

divine boon + word of healing is a waste because then you'll almost never get the healing bonus with boon taking it out the threshold
