Mo/Me Farm Build Issues
This is my first post so bear with me, but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for so I figured I'd try to get one here.
I have a Mo/Me and have just started farming. It's my first character and I decided to try the channel/protective bond/essence bond variation I saw posted in these forums. These are my attributes as of now: 7 inspiration 7 Healing Prayers 14 Smiting Prayers 14 Protection Prayers 7 Divine Favor And my skill set: Balthazar's Spirit Essence Bond Protective Bond Channeling Zealots Fire Divine Boon Symbol of Wrath Orison of Healing Ok, here's the problem: I have no trouble gathering 30+ mobs and killing 22-27 of them, but it gets to the point where the channel becomes less effective and with my divine boon eating 7 mana a cast I end up running out of steam to finish off the last few mobs. Even when getting pounded on I can't get the mana to finish them off. Is the problem that I'm pulling too many, or does this particular set of skills just not work well together to pull the mobs I'm attempting to farm? Any response would be appreciated. P.S. I'd rather not discuss where I'm farming so please don't ask |

So far i'd advise you to exchange the mesmer secondary with warrior and go for bonettis defense. Not only does it pay you some seconds of relief on the not getting hit part, it also spits out 5 energy with each blow missing you, and when you're farming those are quite a lot. Due to balthazars Spirit you'll have it ready in no time as well. |

Really depends on what u farm. If say u farm mobs that do not cast disrupting or knockdowns then bonnetti would work fine if u are getting mob by melees.
Hmm... just took another look at ur skill set. take out orision, put in blessed signet. ur mana problems should be solved - assuming that u do not face too many knockdowns and interupts. Spam divine boon - spamming divine boon itself should be able to keep u alive N activate enough of ur zeal to kill the enemies before they get to u. Bonnetti though is a kind of 'time out' where u can take a breather before getting whacked again. |

I'm farming blessed griffons and azure shadows. I finally got it to where I can farm them efficiently without aggroing the healers and the arcanists in the area and can do it successfully if I die first to bring down life to 33hp.
But it doesn't really flow the way I'd like it to...I still end up running out of mana and struggle with the last 2-3 mobs. Even with taking out the orison and putting in balth aura I'm having issues finishing them off because the damage doesn't get dispersed evenly. I guess I'll just have to pull fewer mobs so they pack a little tighter around me and I get even damage across the board... And this is a Mo/Me build, not a warrior build so Bonetti's isn't an option and neither is sprint, but I'll give blessed signet a try, I haven't tried that yet. As far as farming Trolls, they really arent viable anymore...at least not in the ice cave for my particular build...the avira braves they stuck outside of the cave prevent me from being able to quickly and efficiently do runs there: it's too much hassle trying to dodge the mobs, and the drops aren't that spectacular...maybe 150g, some 8g tusks and junk raven staffs(though if I needed wood I would come here and spend the time). I'd rather spend 2 minutes pulling the griffs and the shadows. Last edited by acidrainfs; Jul 25, 2005 at 01:01 AM // 01:01.. |
