Staff vs Rod - Guild Wars Forums

Hey guys, I just started a new Monk and wanted to know the major differences between the Staff and the Rod. I know that the staff is two-handed and the rod is one-handed and can be used a focus.

So if you can use the focus with the rod, would that be a better combination than the staff itself? Thanks!

The major difference of a Wand vs Staff is that staves can be upgraded with items. Other than that, there is no difference.

So which is truely the best? The Wand and Focus item "until" you can get some great staff upgrades. There is just so much potential a staff can have over a wand/focus set.
