Possibly Sticky? Cheap GvG Tricks to watch for.
Ha... Well me and my guild started PvPing last night for the first time, as most of our PvP experience was from tombing together very few of us had GvG experience.
We went 12:2 and didn't lose any head on fights. Well ANYWAY we were on the map with the castle and the town where the only way into the castle is through gates. Well enemy gates must be opened by your "Guild Theif". So they act all noobish and run to our "secret gate" but "accidentally" leave their guild theif at the flag stand. So we kill it and run to their guild lord thinking ROFL NOOBS then our guildlord starts losing life and we're like WTF WTF WTF. Apparently they killed an archer and used necrotic transversal to get in :\. Suggestion to counter: Open the gate, run out, pummel them after 2 mins then block them at their base. The other loss was just a guild lord rush on a map we didn't know too well. The guild lord system is nasty, we should be able to choose to have our guild lord come with us or not. I suppose then you'd have noobs hiding him which would be annoying too. BAH Sorry if all this has been said but there should be a sticky where people can post things like this that they've seen because they're terribly easy to counter if you can expect it. |

I would say a way to counter guild lord rushers is a team of trappers. If they can rip appart monsters in UW, then a few players would be no problem.

We got beaten once by the same tactic but we praised our opponents for think of it. It's not "cheap", actually there is NO cheap tactics in GvG - Some people prefer to use brute force to win, the others prefer using their brains. Also that tacticis VERY risky and can only be used once on one guild. We learnt from that and now always prepare for a rush when we fight on that map. If anyone use the same rush tactic against us they will fail miserably now .

Thats my point it's not like you have to be super smart and it only works once, why should someone get a loss just because they didn't think of every possible lame tactic someone can come up with.
Now someone can read this and see it and not lose to it. |

One monk with spellbreaker can beat that entire gank team. As it is, one monk without spellbreaker can beat it, also. There's a reason that the Guild Lord has so much health. Sure, a few notable strategies (one that we run, for example) take rather large chunks out of the Lord's health.. but well.. several monk emergency heals that are rather common work just as well to pull his bar back up.
