2ndary Monk Profession Mission - Guild Wars Forums

this mission is just impossible to do... when u go kill the eater of souls he disappears and turns into 50 little jade spider thingies then when u die u respawn... so when u go back and kill the remaining few suddenly another 30 pops out... wtf is the idea with this? 60% death penalty against 30 spiders that keep on respawning non stop when only a few are left

Yeah, I've done this one. Eventually after 4875623569 of them spawned they finally stopped spawning and the Eater of Souls finally came out to fight me. It was a pain.

Try to approach only just getting in aggro range, this should only pop a group of 6 or so at a time, it's still tough and there are lots and lots of groups that keep coming, but I managed this only dying once as a N/Me, if you're getting overwhelmed pull back, regen and then wade back in.

AoE spells will help a lot here.

It's pretty easy if you ask me. Didn't have any trouble with it at all.

Have to carefully pull by watching aggro circle. It helped for me to only take one melee fighter henchie when I did it, as they tend to run in to far sometimes. As a caster use your spells to pull them towards your group once they pop. If you are a melee fighter, just equip a low damage bow or something to do the same thing.

That is what I did, just very slowly approach the waypoint, tapping forward, and if you're lucky a few mobs will pop up, then run back (so you dont accidently popup any more) and kill them, and continue to tap forward towards the waypoint until the boss spawns.

I went in full guns blowing first time and the entire henchman party inc. me died.

Rangers Path was another difficult quest as well, but not impossible.

Bring two trapper rangers and a nuker with you. Also helps to bring a Blood Necro as he/she can use well of blood once the Spyders start to die.

Have the two trappers set traps in a tight circle infront of your group. then pull a small group of spyders into it and have the nuker nuke em. rinse & repeat using the necro to heal with well of blood.
