Skills
To start things off this is a thread not to find entire builds (unlesss someone wants to give them). This is for people to post what skills they think are AWESOME. I have my builds for farming, questing, and I'm working on my pvp build. I am a Warrior/Monk with a sword. Some of my favorite skills are my "sever artery" and "gash" because of my high swordamanship. What does everyone else think? What are their most useful skill or their most favorite? I'd like to know. My only request is that if your Proffesions aren't listed please tell what Profession the skills you are talking about pertain to. Thank you. I can't wait to hear from everyone!

Hmmm. I happen to love the Necromancer attribute "Curses" combined with Mesmer "Domination", they are all mostly Hex spells and can make it hard on any warrior or ranger. Backfire and Chaos Storm are my two favorite skills to use against casters plus the Storm is a great AoE.

I really enjoy the Mesmer skill lineup. There are a couple that I just love to death.
Diversion - Spammable and can potentially disable a skill for 1 minute. Arcane Thievery - Similar to above but you disable their skill for a much shorter time but can use that skill you disabled |

I haven't been able to get in-depth with skills other than my W/Mo, but my next character is going to be a Ele/Mesmer which I hope to explore very deeply.

I never really used those skills that disable or steal =/ Should give them a try and they would probably be pretty good in PvP. And I am really amazed at how much energy that an Ele can have =o I've made one but dont know a secondary for it or which element would be best to use lol. (But I really like the fire AoE spells and powerful nukes like Pheonix)

Well my ele's secondary is Mesmer. I hear that it's a very in-dpeth build to have. And as for your problem of which element to use (i.e. fire, water) I'd go with fire or air if you want to use the ele in PvP. Fire hits a range of people reasonably hard while air hits one person with massive amounts of damage. Hope that helps.

Power block is hands down my favorite skill, because it's an all in one shutdown for all the 1 primary attribute + 1 support attribute builds out there.
Distracting shot is my second favorite skill. It's fast fire gives it so much use beyond mere interrupting, I have a hard time not taking this skill along on any primary ranger I make. |

When you get a chance to change your secondary, switch to elementalist and try this:
1. Fiery Mod on weapon (inate fire damage) 2. Conjure Flame - Enchantment Spell Lose all enchantments. For 60 seconds, while wielding a fire weapon, your attacks strike for an additional 1-13 fire damage. 3. Mark of Rodgort - Hex Spell For 8-18 seconds, whenever target foe is struck for fire damage, that foe is set on fire for 1-3 seconds. |

Here are my favorite skills for each class
Elementalist- Chain lightning Necro- Mark of Pain Monk- Healing Hands Mesmer- Chaos storm all the way Ranger- Choking gas Warrior- Eviscerate (THE best warrior elite in my opinion, makes enemies wet themselves in fear...) Here is my favorite combo skills- When weilding an elemental damage weapon, use the conjure skills with beserkers to really inflict some serious damage. If you have a smiting monk in your group, get them to cast that skill that increases your phsysical damge, cant remember what its called.
