What do you Think?
Im still fairly new to this game and Im looking for a way to build a good support player Im almost dead set on going Elm/Nec but my bigest question is what type of magic to go with. It seems like everyone and their brother are going with fire so i was heading toward either earth or air. Right now im thinking that Earth might just win. Eruption,Ward Against Elements,Ward Against Melee, Ward Against Melee, and Aftershock are looking great to help out my team and then use some necro powers so steal some health from the enemy. The only down side is that I dont have alot of big hitters to use. Any Ideas?

you can't focus on one element as an elementalist. You have Air Earth Fire and Water for a reason...there are certain areas of the game where each element is more powerful against the mobs...i.e. sing Water in the Shiverpeaks would be asinine. There is a reason this game has refund points...it's because you need different builds for different areas and different tasks.

Yes, but in PVP im thinking about useing mostly earth to function as a support player to slow and knock down enemies so my other teammates can go in and hit them hard.

i often build a pv earth ele for some fun in the random arenas, and its a potent skill set. with wards, self buffs (armor of earth and kinetic armor are sweet), and some pretty damn respectable damage potential. earthquake/aftershock can really put on some hurt, obsidian flame and crystal wave both make high def warriors cringe.... one of my personal favorite things just for fun is to use elemental attunement, earth attunement, kinetic armor and then just spam the hell outta stone daggers! with both attunements up (use a +20% enchant duration staff wrap ) you regain 80% of mana spent on earth spells... stone daggers hit everyone but rangers and warriors for 25 each dagger each cast. thats 50 per cast, casting ever 1.5 seconds.... and pretty much able to cast forever. people laugh at stone daggers until they start eating the damage, over, and over, and over, and over and over and over and over again, lol. then you surprise them with an eq/aftershock and kill half thier team at once . necro's have some really nasty debilitating skills, so pretty much choose a couple you like and fit em into your build. im a big fan of the way wither simply removes warriors energy regen, and can really cripple thier casters cutting thier regen in half... biggest plus, a really nice duration for a highly effective elite. with 12 curses its up around 28 seconds i think, for a bargain 10 mana.
