Party size?
How many people cand you have in your party? I heard only two in pre-searind Ascalon and four after the searing. Also I am a Ranger so does my cat count as a person. Last BWE I teemed up with another Ranger (shout out to Starfox) and we both had pets in pre-searing ascalon. So was that two of four. Also can I use my pet in PvP, GvG I have not played those yet?
Thanks for your help. Ren |

pets do not count towards your party limit. only other players and henchmen do. party limit depends on where you are.
as long as you have "charm animal" equipped, you can bring your pet to all pvp/pve areas.

2 in pre-searing ascalon. In post-searing ascalon it starts out with 4, but increases to 6 and 8 as you go along.

I think that the last mission in Ascalon when Rurik gets the boot by his dad (Nolani Academy I think?) is the first mission where you can have six party members. I haven't gotten to the point where you can have 8, so you'll have to ask somebody else for that.

The highest possible is 8 which you'll encounter later on. It runs the gammot from 2, 4, 6, and 8.

No, the max now is 6. No more 8. Out the gate in "Whats the name again..." , anyway can't rmember its the small outpost up in the mountains. It has a wagon and some other stuff there. It used to be the place where you could buy 50+ armor for your warrior in the olden days. You don't hit the enter mission button, you walk out the portal and the first few monsters you hit are minotaur wolfies...

I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain there are still some 8 member parties. I'm not sure if those levels are in the betas yet. I'm almost positive the last levels (which haven't been shown yet) will require 8.

All missions from Lions Arch are 6. Played all of them over and over again this last Beta. Riverside and Sanctum Cay is also 6. Those are the so far two last missions. Of course Tombs are 8 , so is GvG. As of the content not yet released: Yes Aladar is probably right. |

Now I'm questioning myself. I do know for certain pvp is 8.
Maybe I'm wrong on the PvE part. I'll check again although if it's not released I probably can't tell you. |

Hi,
PvE is 8. When you ascend your party size becomes a max of 8. |

How far into the quest sequence is "ascension"?
The player's manual says parties of 2-8, so it's misleading that there are limitations on this. I don't see any reason to not let people form larger parties from the beginning. As is, I have a group of 6 friends who want to play together, but cannot due to this limit, we have to break into groups of 2 and it really sucks to be the odd man man out.... |

And the manual is really not misleading. Party sizes ARE from 2-8: 2 in pre-searing Ascalon, four in post-searing Ascalon, 6 in the northern Shiverpeaks missions and a lot of Kryta, 6-8 in the deserts and beyond. As for the 2nd part of your message about party size...well, there is nothing to be done for that. The game is as it is though I understand your reasoning. |

The parties do get as large as 8.
In the desert is 6 and after that I believe its 8. Sorena Mascar |

don't forget that Temple of Ages allows party sizes of 8....this information will come in quite handy when you're doing Villany of Galrath...as you'll most certainly need 8 members unless you can find a group of lvl20's

Right, Algren. Usually at Bergen or Beetleton or even Lion's Arch, when I hear people saying they want to do the Black Curtain (Villainy of Galraith) quest, I always tell them to stop off at the Temple of the Ages and get two things:
1. Higher level henchman (12s aren't they?) and 2. A party of 8 |
