Fort Ranik made easier?
I just did Fort Ranik mission on my warrior. At the second trebuchet, we hit the lever once and it killed 3 enemies, and the cutscene started. On my other characters we'd had to kill all of them. O_o Did ANet make it easier?

A little, but it's hit-and-miss. Basically the boss that normally sits on top of the wall spawns below, in range of the second trebuchet now. If you're quick you'll nail him along with some normal Charr, and the mission will finish. If you're unlucky or slow, he'll escape to the top of the wall, and you'll need to finish the mission as before.

I love the second trebuchet, i never noticed it until i started my Mes/Ele, and it saved me a great deal of grief. It also good if you have someone round up all teh charr there and them bomb them makes for a sitisfying good time.

I never had to use the 2nd catapult. I would just sprint along the wall and do the quick turn up onto the wall. From there on easy to kill the boss.

It is much more fun to use the second catapult.

I recall having to send someone (the team's Warrior) over there to attract the Charr's attention, as only a couple of them were standing in the impact zone.
He didn't much like that job. Especially when we cackled and started firing the catapult at him . |
