When to Join the War
So I just started this game a few days ago, and I have a level 9 Mo/N. As soon as the option was available to join the war, I think I was level 3 I did it. I noticed this changes the whole game, and as I can tell you can never go back to the way the game was.
I guess my question is, there seemed to be no direction as to if I should wait until a certain level to join the war. Can someone exlpain to me when I am supposed to join and if theres anything I should do in the old Ascalon before its destroyed? The manual doesn't seem to offer any information about things like this, so I'm wondering should I pick up a Guild Wars guide? I'm leveling what seems to be fairly quickly working with others on missions/quests, but I feel very lost with the travel system, knowing where to get skills that I need like resurection, what quests will grant me skills and where to find them. Just looking for some general help, thanks in advance. |

By war...do you mean the missions? Really is no level req, your high enough to do the missions. I usually say start at 5-6, when its your first character.

I joined up at lvl 11 with my mo/W which was a bit high. But I did it then because I wanted to finish all the quests before doing so. I also wanted to grab as much crafting materials, gold, and XP before doing so. As soon as I made the jump through the searing I had more then enough gold and materials to upgrade my armor.
They say at least level 6 and you'll be fine..., but you'll catch people doing it at level 3 and 12. |

I usually wait until level 8 or 9 also. That way you are pretty well guaranteed to have around 2k gold (enough to buy storage, and extra bags in postsearing), all the beginning skills, a starter dye collection, and enough crafting materials to upgrade your armor immediately.

here is a link to a skill reward quest checklist. you still have to find those quests by yourself.
http://cleaned.beyondunreal.com/temp...wardQuests.htm I generally advice people to go to academy at around 6+. If you're experienced and not your first time playing, you maybe able to get through with a 3 or 4. However, leveling in Pre-Searing is saver so why not get to a higher level there before venturing forth? There really is no requirement on when to enter the academy and do most missions. |

Great list, Thanks
I need that for my newer Monk Character. I want to get as many skills from missions as possible. Sorena Mascar |
