Sword hilts - Benefits vs Drawbacks
Greetings,
Having a Warrior/Monk with a fairly decent max damage sword right now, I'm curious what is typically the most recommended sword hilt for individual warriors out there? This Warrior is going to be doing a combination of PvE, PvP, GvG, UW, Tombs, etc. Basically an all around warrior. With that in mind, which of the hilts is really the most useful? Or do the benefits vary based on the purpose? Currently I am thinking of a Zealous hilt for added energy generation. With a few sword skills that use power, adding energy back from using them or simply attacking could help damage output. It would also enable me to use healing skills more often (Vigorous spirit, Healing breeze, etc). The drawback to this hilt though is that -1 energy regen. Given a warrior only has 2 to begin with, that means I'll be down to 1. Since I'm going to be fighting often, this won't hurt that badly, however. Thoughts from the more experienced Warrior/Monks out in the audience? Thanks! |

well i wouldnt get a zealous becuse w/mo generally use mending or some other type of enchantment and that would make ur energy reg of 0 and the zealous only gives u one energy per hit. i would go with a elemental dmg or penetration hilt.

Well, drawbacks are like ,
You fight a fire based monster (burning titan) An icy hilt would sure help dmg here Your fighting a ice imp with the same ice based sword, notice the dmg reducition? Sundering is REALLY nice if you get >10\7 and never get a vamp/zeal lower than 4/1 and dont always have it on, use it as secondary |

sundering is crap, dont listen to anyone that tells you otherwise. a PERFECT 10/10 sundering weapon for instance..... 10% of the time it will go off, increasing your hit damage penetration by 10% 1/10th of the time, you do 10% extra. thats only a 1% damage increase over time... does that sound like a good investment to you? |
