Where are the shields? - Guild Wars Forums

My 12th level Warrior/Monk has only found 3 shields in all the drops I've found. I've found lots of swords, bows, axes and hammers but not much in the way of shields.

I'm using a protection icon (+4 armor +5 armor +5 energy health+30) with my sword, which I guess could be seen as a magical shield, but was just wondering if anyone else has noticed a dearth of shield drops?

To an extent, I've noticed that shields don't have as high of a drop rate compared to other items (focii).

Don't worry, you'll find plenty of good shields later down the line. In the meantime I would suggest getting a collector's shield as they work perfectly fine.

I'm the other way. I get alot more shield drops than anything else. And, of course, my characters can't use shields (no strength or tactics attributes).
