The UW is kind of hard to explain. Personally, I've found that it's ease or difficulty really lies with the strength of the party and how well everyone works together and follow the leaders direction (hopefully someone experienced). Generally speaking, and I know there are exceptions and solo build, it is a good idea to have 2 monks in the group, one specializing in healing and one in protection. Smiting monk soloing is a whole other story and you can search for more info on that.
Monster wise, the first area is comprised of melee attackers, but they can dish our serious damage very quickly. Rely on your leader for instructions, utilize target calling and teamwork. I've seen whole teams get wiped out in the first group in less than a minute and I've alse been part of teams that have taken control completed the first mission in about 5-10 minutes. Later on you will encounter spell casters and such, but by then, most teams start to dissolve, unless you're with a really committed group. Drops aren't as interesting in UW, IMO, unless you get globs of ecto to sell for major cash. Personally I like the drops in FoW better, but that's just me. I'm sure plenty of people disagree, but that's cool. Whatever floats your boat. No, there is no way past the fee unless you are with a very generous party leader. I was two night ago, so the whole trip was free. Generally though, everyone contributes about 125 to the leader who then pays for the whole thing. So, be patient with it, enjoy it, follow orders well, don't aggro, and be successful. Also, encourage your team to show the mesmers out there some love. They can really help UW or FoW parties, but are often overlooked out of ignorance. |

Thank you for the kind comment. I'm not really that smart, just trying to observe and remember what works and what doesn't. But thank you. I've also given serious consideration to starting a monk character to try the soloing down there. That would be very cool. Check out this link in the forum. Mite Thor just posted it and I think it sounds pretty cool. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ewpost&t=41868

Please search for information before you ask others for it. People shouldn't have to waste their time repeating what has already been said.
