To all who got scammed by rushers.
Hi!
I've seen how many whiners there are at so many forums so I'd like to make a thread here. 1. Play the game as it was ment to be played and stop getting rushed. You'll thank me for all items, money + skill points for some missions. 2. It's your own fault for beeing scammed by rushers. You put yourself on risk and you know the concequences. Face them if you get scammed and stop coming here for nothing. 3. Don't rush others, since it will ruin the gameplay in the length. 4. NCSoft & Arenanet don't care how many scammers you report since you don't got any evidence. They know the scammers excist but they won't ban them since they are pure customers and the eula is protecting them. Last edited by Paine; Aug 09, 2005 at 10:57 AM // 10:57.. |

I fail to see the logic in 'rushing' through a game, even if you've already completed it beforehand. But if you absolutely insist, I'd suggest you avoid any rushers who ask for all their money up-front.

I rush to avoid some of the missions I do not enjoy and skip to the missions I do enjoy. A lot of the early missions are just tediously boring. As for not getting scammed, always pay halfway. Both parties then take equal risk. Much less chance of scam this way.

Some people (including me) want to have all skills unlocked. Just because you hate running, don't ruin the game for those. I've been through the game 3 times allready (with all the missions and stuff). I'm not doing it again as the missions are rather annoying by now. So i take the shortcut of running, relieving me of a lot of stress. |

You won't get rid of the rushers, as always when you have a game like this, you'll get the people who don't want to play. They just wan't to be uber l337 in the space of a day. I wan't to be uber l337 but I wan't to work for it, I feel it makes it a lot more rewarding this way.

I got a rush to the Forge recently, but not because I wanted to fastforward through most of the missions (I actually enjoy most of them, even those terrible slogs in the desert); I just thought it'd be fun to attempt the post-ascension missions at lvl 12 with mercs and relatively crappy armour (I only bought one piece of 1.5k armour at Drok's, the rest of my gear was the same as what I had at Beacon's Perch). And I gotta say, I'm pretty glad I did it... although I still find Guild Wars to be fun on its own, it did bring some of the intensity back into the game.
Also, it added a new dynamic to playing as a warrior, whose role is generally to just wade into the frontlines and absorb punishment; at lvl 12 with outdated gear, just about any spike dmg or degen knocked me out of commission in two seconds flat. I even made it a bit harder on myself by not chosing the ever popular monk secondary, or the tactics line so I wouldn't have access to a million dodge skills. I'd recommend doing this to anyone who feels like the oomph is out of PVE; it wasn't insanely tough, but it definitely kept me on my toes. |

No need to start yet another thread about that.
