?? Gaining skills ?? - Guild Wars Forums

Ok i'm back and with another Question. I haven't really been playing this game for more than a few days but, i have been wondering How to gain a certain skill... I always thought after gaining a level i would get to choose from a skill to pick from to level but thats not the way it works i guess How on earth do i Get Attributes/SKills, Is it just different Questes or what ?

When you level, you get attribute points to spend which make your linked skills better. To get skills, you can do 3 things:
1. Get a quest that gives a skill
2. Use a skill point (you get one for every mission you complete and every level) and buy one from a trainer in outposts
3. Use a signet of capture on a dead boss monster to take one of their skills (this is the only way you can get elite skills)

So i have Go to a trainer in an outpost to gain certain skills for my ranger like precision shot ?(were are these outpostes located ?)
Really and you can actually steal Skills off fallen monsters ? Or just Boss monsters ?
(What may i ask is a Signet Of Capture?)

Most major towns have a skill trainer. If you hold "ALT" and look around, you'll see a bunch of NPC names show up. Find the one with a [Skills] or something like that at the end of their name.

Also, whenever you level or beat a mission, you gain a skill point. Skill points are used in conjunction with money to buy skills from the skill trainers. And you hardly get enough to buy every skill you see, forcing you to quest for some.

Signet of Capture is something you gain later in the game at Lion's Arch. It's a skill that you use after killing a boss to capture your choice of one skill (Usually used to capture an elite.)
