Two questions for True Experts: Selling unIDed and customized items
(1) Has anyone done a statistical analysis on the probability of great mods on a gold item and the sale price of those items both identified and unidentified to determine whether it is more advantageous to the seller or the buyer to auction items unidentified? They seem to me to go for quite a bit more than they should unidentified, but I have not calculated the probabilities, and do not know the probabilities of having certain mods show up compared to others. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
(2) If I have a random character (say her name is Xyzzy), a I customize armor and weapons for her, but then decide to delete the character, but before I do I put all her armor and weapons in the storage vault, and then I create a new character with the exact same name and primary profession (Xyzzy), can I then use all those items (both weapons and armor) that I customized for the first character? In other words, does customization require the character be the EXACT same character, or just that she have the EXACT same name, since it says on the item, "customized for Xyzzy"? For all practical purposes, this is the same thing, since names are unique, but I have a very compelling reason to do exactly what I just suggested (delete a character and recreate her with the exact same name), and would like to keep her equipment. Thanks for your time. |

Don't need an expert to answer question 2
I can tell you, it doesn't work. The item is actually customized with an ID number for that particular character you created. So don't think you can trick the game into letting use the item on a re-created character. I don't know about question 1 though, hehe. |
