why did Anet make a zealos bowstring thats 1:1, basically this bow does absolutely nothing so wy have it?

You must be using the wrong bow and/or skills if you think it is useless. It is useful, hence people use it. So go and test it. Obviously it doesn't do absolutely nothing since it's in the game.

Using a bow with short range and/or quick refire, you can rake up a lot of energy quickly. Add in some speed boosts, barrage, etc type skills, and it can really aid your energy management along with expertise. If you want to discuss strategies with the zealous bowstring, try searching for threads about it or check out the strategy forum.
