i know how to maximize, but i want it to run like StarCraft or Diablo2, or WoW for that matter, i mean full screen without the blue bar up top, and the toolbar on the bottom

Run Guild Wars.. you don't need to log in.
Select "Options" button - it should be in the lower right hand corner. That brings up a window where you can set a lot of options for GW - including screen resolution. Look foir the "Screen Resoluton" option in the "Graphics Options" part - the option your after is right under the name "Graphics Otions". Click on it and it'll pop down a list of available screen resolution options. For me I get window, full screen 800*600, fullscreen 960*600 & fullscreen 1024*768. If your computer can handle fullscreen, the option for fullscreen will be there. Edit - I'll beat a mod to this and say that please don't double-post. no need to "bump" up the thread after only 3? minutes. Be patient and someone will respond with the answer. Bumpiung a thread shows you have no patience and is against the forums guidelines as well. I advise you to read them: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...?p=779#post779 Specifically: Do Not Double Post In these forums, a double posts consists of any two consecutive posts from the same user. It does not matter whether or not the contents differ -- if no one else's words or opinions come between two posts from the same person, it's a double post. Since the forums are growing extremely fast, and the moderators have limited time, those who ignore the edit button and repeatedly double/triple/quadruple post can have their second, third, fourth, etc, posts deleted without notice, and without having their contents pasted onto the first post as per usual. As the EDIT button will never disappear, you can always go back to edit your last post and add new thoughts. The practice of "bumping" is highly discouraged in these forums. If people wish to respond to your thread, they will add their opinions without the need of repeated spammed "bumps." Repeated "bumping" of a thread will most likely lead to the thread's deletion, instead. Last edited by Kamatsu; Aug 13, 2005 at 01:35 AM // 01:35.. |

I'd suggest you post a thread in the technical forum for help with this issue. Because it sounds like a technical issue to me. you might need to re-install your video card's driver's.. or an updated version of DirectX.. don't know.
But I do know the option for making Guild Wars run at full screen is exactly where I said it is. If you can't see the option now but you used to see it, it means that you have changed something since then.. or are having hardware/software failure. People in the technical forum can likely help you better.. Just remember to tell them what cpu you have, your ram, what video card, OS, etc |
