When the favor is for you, what do the ghosts do - Guild Wars Forums

I noticed that when the gods favor is for your continent, special NPC's (mostly ghosts and such) appear before each altar. What happens when you donate 1k to them?

Grenth lets you go into the Underworld and that Balthazar warrior lets you go into Fissure. The other things are uselss, for now at least.

They take you to the Underworld or the Fissure of Woe if you are level 20 and Ascended.

At the Temple of the Ages, the Voice of Grenth and the Champion of Balthazar take you to the Underworld and Fissure of Woe, respectively, if you give 1 plat. Outside of the ToA, the altars give you bonuses if you give 100-150g.

I would definetly be interested in new areas being added in the Expansion pack, where the other gods give you transport to these extra levels.

As far as I'm aware the only requirement to go to either FoW or UW is that your group has 1 plat and all characters in the group are ascended. Your character level is irrelevant to whether you can go or not.

If the new areas would only be accessible when the Gods are in your Favour, that would kinda suck for the European players. Once in a blue moon I actually see a European team win a battle in the HoH, woohoo!

sorrows furnace movie included stone summit being mean so i doubt it will be accesable through statue's and depend on favour its mostlikely somewhere in shiverpeaks

When you kneel before the other statues dotted around in various places, you can donate gold and receive morale boosts or a constant health regen of 3.

These are not related to the ones found in Temple of ages.

A couple of those dieties will also give you quests! (so far I know of two)

interresting... ive never seen a character below level 20 that was ascended, have you?

Warlawk - I haven't seen any myself, but I'm not on or active enough around other players to be a final judge. However, ascension does *not* automatically make you level 20 - you get 50K xp. and for most people if they have played through all/most of those missions then they will hit lvl 20 with that 50K xp. However.. you get someone rushed to droknir for armor.. then rushed to Sanctum Clay for mission to desert.. then rushed to each mission there and then helped through with a good group... and you could easily have a lvl 5-15? character ascended..

so it is possible to be ascended and not be level 20.

About that, I saw a Level 1 Ranger in Droknar's Forge claiming they were ascended. He/she was acting all proud and special. I HIGHLY doubt that you could even maintain Level 1 status if you beat the boss at Elona's Reach (forgot what it was called) Thank God everyone shut that person up.
