Gold Armor Dye Issue!!
Well I just bought some new 15k plate male armor and I wanted to dye it gold. I used the wrong combo for gold by accident and got a nasty colour. Then I used dye remover which stripped my armor to an ugly Dull and yellow colour mix. After wards I found the REAl combo for gold and dyed it . Now some parts are dyed the gold but the other parts are really DULL metal because of the dye remover. Does anyone out there know how to put the original plate male colour back in to my armor, so then I can dye it gold again. I really dont wanna be buying new armor cause of this lol =\.

I was under the impresion that if you use dye remover on armor it will revert to its default colour, this being gold in the case of warriors. I did this on my 1.5k knights armor & my 15k dragon armor, both looked awsome.

You might just have to keep trying different color combinations... that sucks that that happened... let us know how it turns out.

try taking all your armor off and putting it into your inventory use dye remover on each peice again, then redo the dyes/and/or put it on again and redo the dyes.

To make it Gold simply use dye remover on it. Trust me it works.

does dye remover just remove the dye that has been put on and replace it back to the orginal colours? Cuz ive dyed my 15k platemail with that "gold" dye which is orange silver yellow silver i think and i got some ugly ass bronze colour. Also im looking for a a more darker gold for 15k platemail if anyone has some that i can buy or the dye mixture that would be great.

Just use silver + yellow. That's what I used on my Hydromancer's equipment and it looks completely awesome. (Although I threw on an extra yellow for the chestpiece, but whatever.)

I found that if you mix Purple + Yellow + Green + Dye Remover (in that order) you can get a really strong gold/yellow color that looks much better then if you dyed it with plain yellow.
Here's a screenshot, the top 3 pieces of the armor are dyed with the dye mix and the boots are dyed with yellow dye. Note: I only tried this on the warrior armor so I don't know how it would look on any other characters. |
