Is GW to easy?
Is it just me or is gw way to easy? i mean, even the last missions on the fire island are very easy even with an average team.
When i got there with my first char, i was looking forward to some hard battles but instead found what i think is some of the easiest missions. This, for me, is probably the thing i want changed most in the upcoming expansions. Make it harder! and also more big and bad glint style bosses. Don't get me wrong, i love the game, but it seems like most enemys are more of a time sink then an actual threat. It may take some time to kill 100 scorpions or whatever, but it's no challenge, and that's what i'd like to have changed. |

If you mean easy because you have a well coordinated team, that works together toward a common goal, then yes the missions are rather easy. For the normal player that pics up a PUG group and tries over an over to geth though a mission because the team will not play as a team, then things can get rather hard. The same can be said about henchmen. They do not always work in the best interest of the party. A good example is Thunderhead Keep. The mission it not that hard with a good group, but trying to keep the King protected with just you and a bunch of Henchies is not the easiet thing to get done.

Its way too easy, and they keep making it easier. I can complete the game with henchmen, and 9/10 times the henchmen are better because the dont go afk and dont leave.

Yep, way too easy. But all the MMORPG's are made for everyone, so they wont make it too easy, so not only great gamers buy the game. If you would like a little bit compition and like RPG's, play an Action RPG, such like Drakan: Order of the Flame, or Rune: Halls of Valhalla.
Of course, it would be nice that there was something that would make the game harder, and even experienced players that played the game for a long time still have some comptition in PVE. |

i dontknow if this would be possible or anything, but cant they give the party leader a choice before entering a mission: like easy, medium, hard?
And change the mission reward for each of these options? Because i also finished the game a couple of times now, and its just WAY to easy, and btw thunderhead keep is easyer with henchies then with a pug (my opinion, no need to flame me) |

I like the idea of having an easy, medium or hard option. Would make things a bit more interesting for those that were not challenged by the standard settings.
As for Henchies vs Pugs and Thunderhead Keep. I respect your opinion of course, and I think it all depends on the quality of the PUG. I have found good ones and bad ones, and you are right that their are indeed PUGS that are not as good as a group of henchies. |

IMO its perfect in the difficulty area (PvE wise) - I feel challenged, I have to use my brain and pay attention to what is going on - but I never feel frustrated or cheated by the game. And with the penalty for death being so light I can concentrate on fun and the game doesn't become "work" like a lot of other MMOs I have played.

Too easy maybe because you ran to Droknars Forge and got the best armor stats in the game before you were suppose to? To easy because you play with premade farm builds that are designed to make it easy? I wonder how many complain of it being too easy after doing the above mentioned reasons? I wonder how many become bored quicker because of doing the above mentioned reasons? And even if you didn't run to Droknars Forge or play a premade farm build, how many of the people in your groups that you played with did? Or how many were rushed to elite skills that they normally wouldn't have had without being rushed or ran to locations by other players?
I myself find if you play this game as it was intended, play with other people who play the game as it was intended will get a most challenging game out of it all the way through. I also find that if I end up in groups of people that have rushed to elite skills and Droknars Armor that it's not much of a challenge at all, so I've resorted to asking people about their equipment and skills in many cases. Since most people like to brag about their equipment it's pretty easy to get out of them if they have rushed or not. |

I agree, play it as it's meant and it's a good challenging game. When you only use the stuff that's dropped and selled in your surrounding area it can be pretty though sometimes. You need a full group of good people, going solo only works pre-searing. Besides that, for warrior primairies the game is much easier then for other characters. I started from scratch with a ranger, and the game is though, I restarted with a warrior, equiped with high power stuff that my ranger found in higher level areas, and I can play it with my eyes closed.

glad you do find it easy, what 3rd,4th time around? with all the good gear?
this is my first go and i'm certainly not finding it easy, but isn't that the point?the challenge. if it's too easy, delete all your characters and start again from scratch maybe?. try a different build that no-one else has done.you dont need a button to make it harder for yourself, just a bit of imagination. |

It's all relative. Playing the game for the first time using henchman without the best spells and armor using an ele/war and I have found it to be a challenge. Maybe I will think the game is easy the next time through using all the advantages.

Well obviously the 1st time through was a challenge, not having instructions and having to learn the concept of the game was most challenging. Second time was much easier since you had acess to weapons and items not accesable on the 1st run. Plus you get better the more you play, so after beating the game with 4 pve characters, one can only hope there is something good to look forward to in the upcoming expansion. My advice for anyone is to make at least one PVP character. I didnt even try PVP untill i finished the game with 3 characters. So i learned all about PVP on my 4th character and if i want a PVP character, im going to have to delete one. Such a hard decision, dont want to delete so much time. Me thinks when Summer expansion comes out me gets new account and 4 new characters. God knows we need more space. Anyway lets hope they stop making the game easier and add some tougher, white knuckle grinding missions that will make getting 5 pieces of armor infused look like getting gwens broken flute. Still love the game, im just eager for some new content to keep things interesting.

What would be cool is...if you finnished the quest...or mission...and you talked to him again and he said something like "The monsters are back! More then ever before! Can you help us again!" and then you fight them in a second phase, more and harder....the reward would also be greater tho.

don't know what version you have but I don't find it easy unless you got a very well organized team which seldom happens... even then, death always peers over my shoulder.

This has been tested many times by the GW-crew, public beta testers and many more. The game is not easy, you just had lucky finding good players everywhere. If the game was too hard, then we'd hear your tiny ass coming to to these forums whining that everything should be nerfed. So please stfu, thx. Or simply, you're just lying. |
