I think the warthogs taste the best if you roast them on a spit.

All pets deal approx the same damage at the same rate - ie the pets are basically the same.. just difference in how they look.
Yes, the Elder Black Widow spider you get from UW seems to have the best stats of the lot, but thats because it's lvl 20 & Elder evolution - if you compared a Elder Snow Wolf to it.. the damage would be comparable. Zenny - that guide is actually inaccurate in what it says about pets. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=20579 That thread is a lot better - it's by the same author btw. It's a lot more accurate about the pets, what BM does, etc. Only thing it doesn't cover is Pet Evolutions. For Evolution info, as well as yet another page of pet info, go here: http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=346270 |

I have a spider, but it's my opinion that the warthog is best simply because at 12 bm he should hit the hardest since he's blunt dmg right?

in my opinion having a pet with you is a waste of a skill space. to get the best out of all the ranger builds and any build for that matter you shud have a skill other than the animal one it is just a waste of a skill space. especially if you bring the skill to heal and revive it then you are wasting 2 spaces. but i guess this is just for pvp.

Pets aren't a waste of space if you're spec'd for them. Having low beastmastery and charm on your skillbar is a waste. Having high beastmastery and 5-7 beastskills along with one or 2 other skills is the best way if you plan to run with a pet.
