I've seen in some screenshots that the bars look different, were they just trying different ones out before the game came out or can you change it? Just to be clear I know you can move the stuff around

Menu -> Customize -> Edit Interface (while in-game)

You can move where things are places, re-size them & re-shape them. What you've seen is people who have done that.. I know I've customized my UI to be more friendly to the way I think/play/see .. helps a lot.

yeah... the UI used to look significantly different during some of the betas. I actually preferred parts of it to what we have now, but c'est la vie.
