Not sure if this is right forum.."ninja looting"
I was just in the FoW today and we just started when the leader aggrod both mobs on either side, natually, the monks died from 4 Fireballs from the Eles, so I was out, by then we had killed most of them, only 3 baddies were alive but we only had like 2 warriors and a E/Mo still alive.
Then we noticed there was a Shard drop for me and the other monk! Aaaand.. the warriors didn't have res, so we were stuck dead, and I wanted my shard. Here's waht happend: Now.. can this be addressed so I get my shard back? Cause in my book, this is worse than being scammed. Thanks. BTW, blacked out portions were just Guild speak. |

This Kind of thing needs to be dealt with by anet. If anyone has any ideas why gw needs the drops going public do share.

Err, if the drops never went public then no one would have gotten the shards since no one had rez. That's one reason among many.

No use in reporting it. It's just the way things are. Deal with it and move on.
Oh - and your blanked out areas weren't just guild speak...don't try to BS - there was at least one line you sent to the other player that for some reason you didn't want us to see.... |

It's... an Obsidian Shard. What is that, five thousand gold? I could understand the outrage if you'd been cheated out of three Celestial Sigils by Edge of Extinction, but forgive me for not caring if you got gipped out of a meagre 5k. I don't think NCSoft will care much for your loss, either. Rather, I think they'll print out your complaint and pass it around the office, the customer support reps nourishing themselves by pressing the paper against their skin, hoping to absorb the raw human anguish within.
Edit: The words he blanked out are "bastard" and "f***". Good thing he blacked those out, I don't think the forums could have coped with such outrage! |

A bit dishonourable, but as said, you would never have got it anyway.
there is so much worse stunts going on than this. Try going in with a mission assassin who gets you all killed on purpose JUST to scoop the drops ?....seen a few of those. ps...the guild the transgressor belongs to is infamous for being a bunch of f...unsavoury types Last edited by OldIronBalls; Aug 19, 2005 at 06:38 PM // 18:38.. |

But I could have! If he would have given it back when we got to town, I would have gotten it.
I've seen MANY people do that... guess they're not asses like some people. |

If a gold max damage item dropped in UW and you were in my party, and you died, and I waited for it to become public, then took it, I doubt you'd be very happy either. It's just like stealing out from under someone's nose, you just don't do it. I'm sorry it happened OP, some people are just jerks. |

Hate to say it OP, but they're irght - It's a game, it happens, sometimes, it can't be helped.
I've been in a similar situation with a glob of Ectoplasm in the Underworld. Fortunately, my team chose to res me, so I was able to collect. There's also been a post here where a ranged attack through a wall dropped some Ecto for a player who was unable to get access, and had to leave it. Then the absolute worst, where you get a drop (Obsidian, Ecto, Gold Max Dmg etc.), but your team dies before anyone can res you. It happens. Move on. |

It was a situational example, to point out that if it happened to you, you probably would feel the same as the OP. |
