Hmm, highly illegal.
I actually bought guild wars yesterday, came home, opened the box, installed it, and when I went to find the cd key, it had already been scratched away and used.
I took it straight back to the game shop, and they said that they had refunded a copy of the game that very same day, and it must have got mixed up.
Why would they refund a copy of the game, considering whoever had bought it was bound to just get the cd key and then dowload the client and play it for free.
Anyway, I managed to get the game changed for one that hadn't been used, and have played guild wars for about 8 hours now, and its quite good admittedly. have joined a guild, got a lvl 6 w/e character, and am looking forward to getting some nice armour crafted, as i'm still wearing the stuff that i had from when i created my character.

no its not always like that...what if the guy bought a bunch of keys from ncsoft and is reselling them for a higher ammount?

you did prolly get scammed...but its prolly legal

You may not (a) sublicense, rent, lease, loan or otherwise transfer the Software or the Service (or any part thereof), including without limitation access keys

So selling cd-keys online via any means *IS* illegal and can get the account banned if ANet finds out and has the evidence to do so.

:1) its not all good, i hope anet catch your ass and beat you to a bloody pulp. meanwhile there is some poor guy who had to buy another cd key cos his was stolen.
