How to post images in threads -- HELP please :) - Guild Wars Forums

I am new to guildwarsguru and I am interested in selling my wares and I am not sure how to post pictures to go along with my descriptions...I find that people who present pictures recieve better offers because they the bidders see they actually own the item. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

use the [IMG] tag around the link to the pic. Or highlight the link in your post and click

Also, make sure to edit your pictures to a smaller size than 640 width, at least.

I`m assuming you know how to do some of this stuff so if not ask specifics.First take the screen shot and crop/cut and paste as a new image just the description part. Now register at imageshack.us and upload your picture there. Copy the thumbnail or hotlink and paste to your thread here. That`s about it.

Thanks guys for the help, I think I've got it all worked out now.

hopefully this will be an informational post to anyone else with this problem...when I searched it, it wasnt in the database

I still cant get it to work....I have this link to the picture and this is all i get.

[IMG]C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Screens\Vamp Hammer Haft.bmp[/IMG]

with no picture just the link

update: I found out how to make the picture show up, I first had to host the image and then copy the link they provided me.
