Which Is Bigger? - Guild Wars Forums

hey everyone im trying to convince one of my friends to buy GWs and he got told the WOW map is actually bigger than the GW's map.. but i doubt that alot... because i havent heard of a person that has explored 100 % of the map by them self... but anyways, does anyone know what map is bigger? WOW or GWs?

WOW's probably seems bigger cause you have to run everywhere. Or ride your mount, or whatever.

WoW and Starwars Galaxies have much bigger maps than GW... Then again, explorability was never an extreme qaulity of this game.

I ain't what's bigger, it's what's funner and that's entirely dependent of what you want out of a game.

And WoW is definitely more fun... which is why a quit for guild wars. That damn game ate my life.

Guild wars can be played in much shorter intervals, and instead of daily instance runs that last hours you usually a guild battle or two a week.

World of Warcraft's world and Guild Wars' are about the same size. But like ElderAtronach said, you actually have to move around in WoW, whereas you can instantly teleport in GW. Also, there's really no point in going into the world other than to get to the next town, or to do quests, so once you "finish" an area, you'll most likely never be going back. So in terms of explorability, WoW's world is much, much larger than GW's.
