Why are 'clean' weapons so popular?

So you can choose what mods you want on them.

Hmmm. I wasn't aware they were popular or else I would have been able to get rid of my clean max dmg weapons easier.

maybe its your price? no non-fell/flamberge/fiery dragon/chaos axe/storm/eternal weapon should go for over 1.5k if its clean and max dmg.

I don't think it should matter if it's clean or not. You can always replace the upgrades on the weapons.

Not to mention that there are certain reasons a 'clean' weapon will always be inferior reguardless of the upgrades you put on it. +15% while X comes to mind instantly. (of course, where X = health > 50%, while enchanted, etc)

Some people dislike the Gold and Purple mods, and want a clean weapon so they dont have to always deal with those types of things.
Also, with a clean weapon, you always know exactly what your getting and what your adding, so you dont have to deal with inferior additional mods. |
