What is the best build to go about beating the doppleganger to get ascention for a Necro/Ranger? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion for anything Necro is to take a bunch of health-sacrificing skills that give little to no useful benefit. Of course, you bring them but are smart enough to not use them. The Doppleganger on the other hand... it's not the sharpest.

Dark Pact
Enfeebling Blood
Dark Fury
Blood Ritual
Order of Pain
signet of agony
touch of agony
