Well i have made many chars, before the update the way from Yaks Bend to Borlis pass was MUCH easier,
all of a sudden on my new char i find it imposible a lv 12 W/R with Drok Amor and a max dmg sword I keep dieing mid way, looks like a lot of monsters are there now How the hell can we get to Borlis Pass doing the quests also |

Do you have the Shiverpeaks Straggler's quest?
that spawned a buttload of monsters between Yaks Bend and Borlis Pass for my N/mo.. and also 1 of the 2 Borlis Pass related quest's now spawns groups of 3 Snow Trolls along the path as well as the standard Stone Summit... |

I was just playing my E/Mo who recently got to Yak's Bend and noticed the same thing: there're about 20 Stone Summit right in the path to Borlis Pass! And they're all in one big group, which means as soon as you trigger one, they all come a-runnin'. And you can't sneak around them. I picked up all the Yak's Bend quests first, which may well have triggered a bunch of formerly-separate groups all in the same place, but still...that never happened before.

Akimb0 - You try taking on a group of 20 critters which is a nasty mix of rangers & mesmer's & melee types which you can't pull apart and which makes any melee type on your group completely useless (well, if you have a minion necros with you they will serve as fodder for a minion )
Seriously.. that group is a real PITA... has at least 6 mesmer type's which love Empathy... really screws you over if you have Stefan & Thom.. as they will attack and die as Alesia can't heal them fast enough... if she can even get a heal off with the scout's using distracting shot (iirc - it's an interrupt skill) on her... and enough pure damage dealers that if anyone gets focused on they die fast.. even without empathy.. and from my experience.. you can't pull them very well - any of them that you get to follow you only go a short distance before running back.. even if you use an attacking with bow kind of pull.. they don't want to split up.. Maybe I just had some extreme bad luck... but dang it was hard. I beat them in the end simply by running in and LS'ing as many as I could while using SS & VG on them to keep my health up while they attacked me.. run away and heal.. rinse and repeat... eventually got them down to enough that I could stand and cast spells on them.. still couldn't attack to having permanent empathy on (with no hex removal.. duh).. oh, did I mention the henchies were all dead? |

I noticed this last night, too, with my lvl12 W/N. She had her butt handed to her the first time I tried it, went back into Yak's Bend, came out again, and this time I ran down (only me and henchies, btw), grabbed a bunch and ran up the hill. I only lost Stefan, and Alesia kindly res'd him. Repeated it several times, and voila, they were gone.
I did pick up all the Borliss Pass missions, and I did talk to the guy right outside of Yak's Bend about the stragglers, so I kind of thing that's what may trigger the excessive ugly dwarf population in that particular area. |

I know what you mean. I did that quest last night, sucessfully. When I got up near the top, and saw that there were a huge pile of red everywhere, I turned around and went back down, and hung a left at the bottom, and then another left, and went back up the back way for about 30 sec, and killed off about 8 red. And then a few more came, and I killed them off, of course i had henchmen with me. Then, I went back down, and back up the original way, and stayed to the right, and avoided ALL of the pile of red on the left, killed a few more on the right, and just continued to circle around the big pile. And finally, made it to the top. Anyways, thats how I did it. But you are right, there are a ton of new red on that quest.
