yeah, i would think it would be safe to say that this quest would be like all the other ones where you would have to comeplete everyting that is written in the quest log before it will take you to the next zone area - which i am guessing is will lead to the area we have read about where you sell yourself to slavery.
just a guess Shmash |

the "Galan Trask" one is the one where you sell your self to slavery. it is just that there was so much more area there that I was thinking there would of been more. But after doing kilroy, I think that was it.

is that the one where you have to kill the 5 priest and put the thing back? Did it with henchies, sure it was hard, but got it done. Yes, the guys who heal other and the shamens who revive, it was quite annoying, but they ran out of energy soon enough.

The high priest quest is the one where your extra NPC is a high priest.
You are NOT a slave, that's a different quest. The reason people say you can't do with henchies is that the game tells you to leave someone with the priest while he's standing on this platform thing. He also gets attacked from time to time while you're out trying to collect these 4 explosives for him. |

The furnace changes depending on who you escort in, and if you go in without escorting anybody. Each escort NPC has their own quest, with different difficulties- I've found that the order they're listed in the quest from the Prospector is pretty by difficulty. Galen is at the top, and is the easiest, etc. Of course, that partially depends on your group composition too- some things might be easier for some groups than others, and henchmen really have a hard time with a couple of the missions, like High Priest Alkar, which I don't think is possible to do with henchmen.
All of the quests are repeatable, and there's some quests you get along with being able to fight through the whole area if you go in with no escort. I think there may also be more that you can do after escorting all 4 of the NPC's into the furnace as well.

I just did the Priest quest with a W/Me and 4 henchies. Its easy if the one guy stays back and DOESNT MOVE to defend the Priest. Also, you can have the second guy come back to fight off the first wave for each shard.

i beat the one last night where have to go in and help the guy find his brother with some henchies. gets pretty intense as groups 20 or so stone summit come after you, and that is only half way through it... (by the way, if you die there the rez point is right next to the fight scene, so dont feel bad. more than likely you will die).
The hogtied dwarf in the cut scene here is funny. so i got 3 more to go and i hear the galan trask one is easy, gonna do that tonight... Shmash! |

I tried to do that last one (where you help the guy find his brother) 3 times with PUGs last night without success.
The first time, we actually found the brother but died on the way out. The next 2 times, we never got past the first part where you fight off the waves of enemies. I think I will try it tonite with a full hench party--at least they focus fire when you call a target. |

I did the High Priest one with 3 henchies, and human monks- still doable.
The one where you have to defend the NPC during an onslaught is just damn near impossible. My group always get 60% DP, and by the time we've rezzed maybe 4 times, the NPC dies before we can heal him..Anyone got any pointers? |
