Second class for Elementalist
All of you guys are totally awesome! And you always answer my questions really well!
So one more, I've got a new Elementalist, What do you guys think is the best second profession for him? I'm going to be using Air and water magic~ <3 |

well with, air, water and fire magic,i dont think you will be getting much use of your secondary. i made an ele/mo for pve,but if you put alot in air, water, and energy you wont have strong skills from your secondary.
and imo, fire is better for pve because enemies are to dumb to move out of aoe |

I have an E/Mo and I love it! The healing skills help quite a bit.

I have an e/mo and an e/mes and they are both pretty deadly. Both of them seem to be able to take care of themselves and hand out plenty of damage, but both of them are just for pve right now and both are set up for fire. The e/mo doesn't need any healing, and the e/mes shuts down enemy casters pretty well.

Any casting class goes well with elementalist. With that rockin' energy storage--AND NO REFUND POINTS ANYMORE THANK YOU ANET--you can experiment with everything.
E/Mo can make a great replacement healer in missions, E/Me with Hex Breaker as only mesmer skill, and the rest in air or whatever, screws everyone over in PvP. E/N = drain, rend, strip, drain, repeat. |

I recommend Monk or Mesmer (and maybe even Necro).
E/Mo gives you a chance to heal a bit (but I would leave this to the monks), but more importantly I consider E/Mo as the best smiters. E/Mes allows you take advantage of Arcane Echo and some energy draining skills. E/Necro opens up the door to Hyrdo and Earth by bringing in some nice hexes. |

2 of my guildmate use mesmer, this way you can use echo to copy a skill.
This way you can have 2 meteor showers pounding the head of a boss. I do this with my mesmer also |

yeah, i have been playing an air el/dom mes. i am sure it works but i am not too pleased with it for my play style (and i hated being just another one of those air el's out there).
I am thinking about trying earth el/ well of pain necro (i think that is the one with life degen for enemies). what i am hoping to see happen here is while i am throwing down wards people will rush in to attack myself and the monks and after a while be picked off and i will use their corpses to degen the remaining attackers. anyone have and comments about that, i am interested if anyone has tried this.
