Making the same class on your account
Ok this is just out of curiosity, but how many people make two characters of the same class on one account? I love the monk type class so much, I decided to make another one. Even though the hairstyle isn't great, people beg for you to join their group.
Anyways just getting to the point, how many people make two characters of the same class for fun? |

2 Necros here. The second one gets deleted enough and remade into something else that it doesn't matter, but it typically comes back to a Necro.

extra PvP character? sure. 2 PvE indentical characters is not useful though. No benefit from unlocking skills, and with free attribute changes at any given time, 1 character can switch to any role as needed.
2 PvE same primary but different secondary isn't great, because at some point in the game you can switch secondaries, but it can and does happen. |

i have 2 warrior primaries.
war/elem war/mes i love both combinations right now, and they have very different play styles. even though you can easily switch between secondaries in this game, i don't want to have to keep switching secondaries just to try out different builds. also, i didn't want to have to buy skills for my 2nd warrior's secondary class. so, getting skills from quests was the way to go. the funny part is that i originally created the war/mes for mainly pvp purposes, but i find that she actually does a lot better surviving the high level pve areas that are hex and elemental dmg heavy. my other two characters are r/monk and nec/elem to round it off. |

I currently have 2 PvE warrior/monks on my account, mainly because I couldn't decide which of the two chosen character models looked better

i dont see any reason having 2 of the same PvE characters just because of the factor that you can switch the secondary proffesion once you have ascended. and as well, once you do so, you can constantly re-change your secondary back and forth as many times as you wish. i use to constantly change my warrior from W/Mo to W/E over and over again. and really, if your just looking to unlock more skills as well, you can just constantly change the second proffession to get all the skills, without starting new PvE characters of other types.

Finished the game with 2 monks 1 wa/r and 1 e/mo . Erased one monk and am currently working on a necro. I just wish that the PVP character was always available (5th character). You could have 4 characters and always have free acess to a PVP character since i have everything unlocked for pvp but like the extra cargo space from the pve character. I think a PVP character is pretty useless because to play a character effectively, one really needs to beat the game with that character to learn the skills and how that character reacts. When were at the hall of heroes and we need a mesmer, and someone is like i can make a mesmer, im like do you know how to play a mesmer ? Anyone with a pvp character can make any class but to truely play that character well, you really need to beat the game with one.
Really wish i had acess to a pvp character, since all the pvp stuff got unlocked on pvp extreme weekend. But i like the Freedom of a pve character over the confined pvp. |
