Help With smiting Mo/Me - Guild Wars Forums

Would I be better off getting Divine Favor, or healing prayers? I think im going to get Illusion for my Mesmer skills, but I'm looking at Divine favor skills and they seem to be better than healing. I'm fairly new to the game, can anyone point me in the right direction?

By the way, my purpose is not to be a healing monk. I'm going for pure smiting and just other crap.
