Guild Coalition
Read the thread mentioning alliances like they have in Lineage 2. Also read the threads about how people don't want to give up their small guild or large guild with 3 active members. So I have an idea and would like some feedback on the feasibility of it.
How about a coalition of small guilds. Need some ideas on how to use the friends list to keep track of good players. Perhaps one guild could host the forums and another guild host teamspeak. Or any such similar sharing of the workload needed. I have been playing mmorpgs for only a little over a year. So I have yet to find a consistent group of good, mature people. Nor have I found a group near where I live. So any useful information on how to network with other good players is also useful. Looking forward to your opinions and ideas. Well, I am working on setting up a coalition (I use "alliance"). I have a guild website (calistrike.net, I am redoing the main page completely) and forums. I offer forum space for guild leaders to get their guild a little bit more organized, or to help enhance inner guild communities, whatever they want it for, and also for inter-guild communities, for people to get to know each other. On the website I will have an alliance guild section, one part for guild leaders trying to enhance their GvG experience, making it easier to help them find unrated matches for their team, and then just a general list of all the alliance guilds. If you are interested in more info, or are interested in joining me in any of this, just PM me I guess. I am gonna do some mega work on the website, I should finish this weekend, easy.

Sounds like an interesting idea. My thought is that it would take a lot of mature guild leaders to share responsibility and resources like that. My observation is that there's always one person who wants to be "the leader" and hoard power, making cooperation difficult for everyone else.

I'm a Leader for a long time now (I have a supergroup in city of heroes that works over 1,5 years already) and my Guild works well so far.
If anyone of you would like a guild to do some unrated with us no matter how big you are just let us know: LOB Site Last edited by Dumeka; Sep 20, 2005 at 07:53 AM // 07:53.. Reason: Had to change the link to our site! |
