I am hoping to become a runner and was wondering what the best skills are to use, best armor for running, weapon etc. Thanks in advance

w/mo is most common but w/r also works with wilderness survival and dodge and them kinda spells the armour doesnt really make much of a difference as long as its 15K or 1.5K

Skills: Sprint, Charge. Balanced stance, can't remember what else.
If your going monk: Smite hex, some people bring mending, some don't. I also bring healing breeze. Why do you want a weapon if you're running? Unless you are need an enchantment to last longer, have more health, or whatever. More importantly, knowing where to go and what to avoid. When to recharge or stop to let patrols go by. |

Charge
Sprint Balanced Stance Purge Conditions Remove Hex Defensive stance Healing Signet Mending Using these I can run Droks with little trouble... as long as I don't run it stupid. Using sup damage absorb, knights boots, and -2 while enchanted shield, physical damage is slim to none. However, spell damage and degen is what hurts you. If you see any heretics/sages, drop mending so you dont take ~80 from shatter. Use defensive stance if you need a heal from signet, as you can sit there with 75% evade and get about 130ish hp back and get running. Balanced stance, for anything that knocks you down, and use charge in unison to get away from those mobs faster. Purge conditions is good for when you have cripple/bleeding and the like on you, but make sure the surrounding rangers have all fired a pin down, else you waste the skill. Remove hex is useful if you need to drop a lengthy snare, or if you don't want that 15 second Conjure Phantasm to eat away your hp's. This is how I run as a W/mo, but others run with different builds. Others may be different, but this is what I use. |

There are several threads on runner builds already. Please please use the search instead of repeating topics. Here's the first one I found.
